Guatemala llega a México incompleto para jugar
Selección Nacional de Guatemala retornó esta semana a los entrenamientos en el Centro de Alto Rendimiento con miras a lo que será la eliminatoria mundialista a Catar 2022. Son un total 25 futbolistas los que están convocados, donde figura el nombre del delantero juvenil José Carlos Martínez del equipo de Municipal.
Tras superar una lesión, ‘El Flaco’ Martínez figura en la convocatoria de Selección Nacional en la parte ofensiva tras sus presentaciones con el equipo rojo en el Torneo Apertura 2020.
“Es una nueva oportunidad estar en Selección y debemos enfocarnos en lo que viene. Estamos motivados por querer hacer las cosas bien y quiero marcar mi propia historia en Selección. Todos sabemos los jugadores que han estado de nombre y lo que representa la selección, esta es una nueva historia para darle muchas alegrías a la gente”, expresó Martínez.
José Carlos Martínez ha formado parte de la Bicolor desde las categorías juveniles, pasando por la Sub-23 y ahora en la mayor. “Estoy orgulloso y contento de estar nuevamente en selección. Para eso trabajamos siempre, para ganarnos un lugar y hacer las cosas bien. Lo más importante como jugador es la madurez que se alcanza aprovechando cada circunstancia para aprender y tomarlo con mucha seriedad”.
